
this dessert fixation has lasted me six months and there are no signs of stopping. it satisfies all my sweet treat needs: a frozen caramel nougat texture, dark chocolate shell, maldon salt ~ with the added bonus of blood sugar stability, antioxidants, and minerals that benefit sleep. a dessert supplement, if you will. here is my recipe:
~ pit plump california medjools and generously stuff with a high quality nut butter (my favorite raw almond is linked here)
~ gently melt a generous amount of Hu dark chocolate gems on the stovetop with 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil or coconut butter
~ once melted, use a fork to submerge each stuffed date and transfer to a parchment paper-lined plate
~ sprinkle with maldon salt and freeze for 10-15 minutes (once they can be broken apart, you can store in the fridge or freezer)
~ enjoy with hot tea :)
